Faculty Mission Statement
“The English Faculty aims to develop students’ knowledge, skills and understanding of all aspects of English, from Literacy and communication skills to creative writing and the analysis of literary texts.
Students explore all aspects of English, looking at texts in their social, cultural and historical contexts in order to engage fully in the meaning and importance of literature and to inspire students to create their own texts. Students are encouraged to develop their evaluation skills and to become positive contributors to the learning of others.
English provides students with the skills for success across all subjects and for life beyond.”
