Sport and Outdoor Learning at the CTC Kingshurst Academy covers five disciplines: ASDAN, PE, Public Uniformed Services, Sports Science and Travel and Tourism.
Faculty Mission Statement
“Within the Sport and Outdoor learning faculty we aim to enrich and develop students in many areas. We have the physical activities that they take part in through PE, academic GCSE PE and the vocational experiences that can be gained from completing a course in either BTEC Public Uniformed Services, Travel and Tourism or Sport. We also offer ASDAN which is tailored to suit the needs of students that choose the course each year.
The faculty produces excellent results academically through GCSE PE (higher than national averages/North Solihull schools), also the vocational courses with a 100% pass rate (equivalent to C grade GCSE or above).
Our mission is to provide the students with the highest quality educational experiences that gives them the opportunity to progress into further education or the work place.”
