Visual Arts and Textiles at the CTC Kingshurst Academy covers four disciplines: Art, Fashion and Clothing, Textiles and Visual Arts.
Faculty Mission Statement
“Our belief of the place of Art and Design at CTC Kingshurst Academy is that it provides the main vehicle for promoting Visual Arts as a source of lifelong creativity and enjoyment for all students.
We encourage students to develop their creativity, imagination and self-expression through an exciting curriculum which provides opportunity for students to improve upon practical, critical and contextual skills. Through all the key stages students are expected to extend their knowledge, experience of materials, processes and practises as their art education progresses.
With the faculty’s high expectations, pupils are encouraged to develop skills, understanding and adopt a positive approach to learning which allows them to be independent, inquisitive and willing to learn from all situations.”
