Group 2 - Meat and beans
   
Group 2 foods include red meat, poultry, eggs, fish, nuts, beans, beefburgers,
meat pies, seeds and soya products such as quorn. The foods in this group
are high in protein, and also contain fibre, vitamins E and B6, and the
minerals calcium, iron, and zinc. You should have 2-3 servings of foods
from this group per day.
What is a serving?
One chicken breast, half a tin of beans, one small pork chop, one portion
of scrambled egg, one small packet of peanuts.
