Key Stage 4

Key Stage 4

What will I learn?

Key Stage 4 PE is compulsory for all students and is run using an option based system. Students ‘opt’ for the activities they would like to do for a half termly block. These activities can change each half term or students have the opportunity to choose a different activity.

There are a wide range of activities on offer and the Key Stage 4 PE programme is designed to maintain participation rates and to allow students to develop lifelong participation in various sporting activities.

There are opportunities for students to do payable activities off-site and there are also a range of activities provided within College.

The students also have an opportunity to complete the Sports Leaders Award which will give the students the experience of leading a range of sporting activities to either Year 7 or Primary school students. Students that complete this award will be presented with a certificate at the end of the course.

Here is a list of some of the activities that have been provided for students at Key Stage 4:

  • Bowling
  • Ice Skating
