Mission Statement

“ CTC Kingshurst Academy aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who will help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

CTC Kingshurst Academy’s curriculum encourages all staff and students to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. 

Our Aim

To create and sustain an optimum environment in which staff deliver an innovative, challenging and exciting education that is relevant and appropriate for students of all abilities, is of the highest quality and enjoys the confidence and support of all.

The Academy aims to:

  • cater for the needs and aspirations of 11-18 year olds of all abilities
  • provide equal opportunity for boys and girls
  • offer a broad curriculum with a strong technical and practical background
  • help students develop lively and enquiring minds, the ability to question and argue rationally and to apply themselves to tasks and physical skills.
  • help students acquire knowledge and skills relevant to adult life and employment in a fast changing world
  • help students use language and number effectively
  • instill respect for moral values and to develop tolerance and understanding of other races, religions
    and ways of life
  • help students to understand the world in which they live, and the interdependence of individuals, groups and nations
  • help students appreciate human achievements and aspirations
  • develop qualities of enterprise, self-reliance and responsibility
  • develop personal and interpersonal skills
  • encourage independent learning
  • develop skills using modern technology
  • create an atmosphere where everybody can regard themselves as partners in the learning process.
