Reporting to Parents

What will be recorded in my child’s report?

Minimum Expected Target Grades

All targets are individually based on student performance in KS2 SATs.

Minimum Expected Target Grades for Students at Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst. Click to view PDF

Trust Projection grade for each subject

The grade we report home will continue to be based around a common assessment task such as a test or extended piece of work, this assessment will have been completed by all students in the same subject and year group across the trust secondary schools. This grade will be a projected grade, which indicates what your child would be likely to achieve in their GCSE at the end of Year 11 if they continue to perform as they are currently performing. This grade is calculating using a statistical method based on that used by examination boards when assigning grades.

Tudor Habit report

At Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst we know that to flourish in life you need much more than great grades. The Tudor Habits represent the behaviours that our students require not only in the classroom but also to prosper in later life. As a result of this staff at Kingshurst report to parents and carers on how students demonstrate the Tudor Habits. This is done by giving a score of 1-5 where a 5 indicates that a student always demonstrates the Tudor Habits to an excellent standard. The Tudor Habits are separated into two categories where ‘Learning Habits’ strengthen our students’ ability to be: hardworking; inquisitive and resilient, whilst the ‘Character Habits’ encourage our students’ to be: respectful; responsible and aspirational.

Tutor Comment

As an important first port of call for all students, form tutors have an excellent all-round view of performance both inside the classroom and around the college. A tutor will comment on a range of point depending on the year group a child is in, tutors will continually monitor attendance, uniform and behaviour as well as academic successes.
